Noticing Boog's bowl, he teases him by saying he is like a pet, to which Boog denies. Later that night, Elliot arrives at Boog's house and starts to throw jackrabbits at his garage window. Boog then tells Elliot to scamper off into the woods and, as Beth drives off, calls Elliot a 'little one-horned freak' under his breath. After begging from Elliot to release him, Boog reluctantly unties him from Shaw's truck using one claw, which Shaw immediately notices. When Boog meets Elliot (who is strapped to the hood of Shaw's truck), he develops an intense dislike for him due to his annoying habits. When he is driven out into town, he is often on the lookout for his nemesis Shaw and has a friendly relationship with Sheriff Gordy.
